Chantal Lamarre and Sylvie Dumontier, the women behind the retro-gogo-duo Les Galipeau’s, revisite the past to explore how the female role of the modern era has evolved. There’s no question that women have come a long way but where exactly are they today, in 2020? That’s the real question this documentary sets out to answer. Their goal is to understand the current female animal by looking into four distinct areas from both a humorous and anthropological perspective: the working world, family life, the cult of beauty, and the ever-insidious sexism. To this end, Chantal and Sylvie meet with women from different backgrounds (including a sociologist, author, and essayist) and different generations, from young to old.
