Origines
With the modern twist of linking past to present, the series Origines relives the extraordinary adventure of the colonization of New France from its harsh beginnings to the shock of the English conquest in 1760. From these pages of history come real faces, real lives – artisans, servants, farmers, coureurs des bois, soldiers and even the Filles du roi – ordinary people who really existed, and Origines tells us their stories. Dramatically re-created onscreen, their tales are made all the more resonant with interviews from actual descendents and additional input from historians. Each episode also gives in-depth information on each character's ancestral lines from which most Quebec families are descended.
